4th Interstellar Probe Exploration Workshop

The Interstellar Probe Study team is looking forward to the 4th annual Fall Workshop that will bring together the many science and engineering experts who have been working to answer the many questions critical to understanding the scope of a potential interstellar probe mission. The event will be held the week of 27 September to 01 October, 2021. We continue to monitor the pandemic situation closely. The planned venue site is on the APL campus in Laurel, Maryland with remote / hybrid capabilities. The exact dates and session times will be provided as we get closer to the meeting week.

Please join us as we come together to further the following goals:

  • Informing the community about the more recent results and details of mission concept development
  • Planning how best to support the upcoming Solar and Space Physics Decadal Survey
  • Continue expanding the important discussion around the "technical challenges" identified by the team

As in previous workshops, we are seeking community input on all aspects of science enabled by a pragmatic Interstellar Probe, its design and operations, and any discussions on propelling the concept to the highest priority in the solar and space physics decadal survey. We also welcome relevant programmatic and sociotechnological discussions. Abstracts will be accepted through 03 September.
